National Conference on “The Mediation in the Different Public Spheres” (MDPS-2024)

        The National Conference on “The Mediation in the Different Public Spheres” (MDPS-2024) will be held on 31.05.2024 in Hall 1 of the University of Economics - Varna.
        The conference is organized by the Chamber of Mediators in Bulgaria, the University Centre for Mediation at the University of Economics - Varna and the Itera Institute.
        The idea of the scientific forum is to provide a platform for debate, discussion and presentation of scientific researches and practical opinions related to mediation in four of the significant public spheres - education, health, judiciary and public sector. Current issues of mediation are addressed, which will be the subject of discussion and proposals to the competent institutions in order to broaden the scope of mediation and make it more effective.
        The event brings together representatives of state and local authorities, representatives of judicial institutions, bar associations, the university community, representatives of primary and secondary education, NGOs and business organizations, mediators, experts in negotiation and conflict management, etc.
        The organizers have created this forum with the aim of making it a field for good ideas, scientific debate and exchange of practical experience in the field of mediation.
        Participation in the forum will be face-to-face or online, giving participants the opportunity to present, discuss and share experiences and expertise in a variety of ways.
        The videoconference link will be sent in due time to all persons who have requested their participation online.
        There is no participation fee.
        At the end of the Forum, an analysis will be prepared on the basis of the presentations and discussions. It will be sent to the institutions related to the public spheres in which mediation is applied: the Ministry of Justice; the Ministry of Education; the Regional Departments of Education; the Ombudsman of the Republic of Bulgaria; Varna Municipality; Regional Administration Varna; Varna Bar Association. Courts - Regional, District and Appellate, to which mediation centres have been established. Mediators, organizations uniting mediators; organizations training mediators. Non-governmental organizations implementing projects in the field of mediation. Universities, schools, etc.
